2008 PGA Show Pictures

Your esteemed editor Rod and friend

This was a real nice folding
3 wheelcart from Clicgear.

There were novelty head covers
of all types and sizes

Rangefinders seemed to be getting more popular
(although not necessarily cheaper). It seems more
of the big boys are getting in that game now.

Golf Cycle?

You wouldn't believe how many different types
of golf tee were at the show. There were
certainly between 50 and 100 different
types of tees (many were patented).

As usual pretty much every product made an
unproven promise like "Gain 50 Yards" or something
similar.

If nothing else golf is getting more colorful these days.
Grips were definitely more colorful as were bags and fashion.
I think they want everybody to look like Jasper Parnevik.

I definitely see a trend towards heavier putters.
Many brands were showing considerably heavier putters
with Heavy Putter (Boccieri Golf) leading the way.

Paragon makes some very nice inexpensive clubs.
These are worth checking out.

Adjustability with putters as well as
drivers is the coming thing

Tomberlin unveiled the first production
Hybrid LSV/Golf Cart. http://www.tomberlin.net/tag/
Yes, golf is getting greener.

Most all the Fore Golf Inventors finalists along with a number of
the early round
competitors were there. But, I didn't talk to anyone who made there
first million yet.

There were a number of limited flight or indoor type practice
balls.

Put a picture of a semi-naked women on
a golf club and suddenly you have a business.

Or put some diamonds on a putter and
suddenly you have a business too!

One of the many variations of golf tees we saw.
These were made of rubber.
